WATCH : Smriti Mandhana’s gorgeous pick-up six leaves Alyssa Healy in awe

Following a commanding win in the initial T20I versus Australia, India Women took the batting crease as Alyssa Healy, the opposing captain, chose to field first after winning the toss. Despite facing initial setbacks, Smriti Mandhana showcased her exquisite batting skills, leaving the rival skipper spellbound during the sixth over of the innings.

Kim Garth, who managed to claim two quick wickets, causing the hosts to struggle at 20/2 in four overs, found herself under pressure as Mandhana unleashed an onslaught just before the powerplay ended.

After facing four dot balls from Ashleigh Gardner in the fifth over, Mandhana finally broke free with a graceful shot that soared past the deep square leg boundary, astonishing the wicketkeeper stationed behind the stumps.

In the sixth over’s third delivery, Garth delivered a full-length ball aimed at the leg stump, which Mandhana effortlessly struck over the deep square leg area for a colossal six. The delivery perfectly suited the left-hander’s style, and she connected with such precision that the ball sailed far beyond the boundary ropes and into the stands.

Witnessing the elegance of this shot, Australian captain Healy was left astounded, her expression reflecting sheer admiration, sparking a frenzy on Twitter.
