WATCH : Superb running catch by Tilak from deep mid-wicket to dismiss Charles

Brandon King has orchestrated a blazing start for the West Indies almost single-handedly, following the hosts’ decision to bat first after winning the toss. India’s Yuzvendra Chahal provided a breakthrough by dismissing the struggling Kyle Mayers.

In the same over, Chahal claimed the wicket of King as well. However, Nicholas Pooran arrived on the scene with aggressive batting, propelling the West Indies to a score of 54/2 by the end of the powerplay.

Adding to the excitement, India has handed T20I debuts to Tilak Varma and Mukesh Kumar. While Varma is making his first international appearance, Mukesh had already debuted in Test and ODI matches earlier in this tour.

With the first match taking place in Tarouba on Thursday, India starts as the overwhelming favorites in the five-match series against the West Indies. Charles departs courtesy of a brilliant catch by Tilak Varma at deep mid-wicket! Kuldeep Yadav delivers a tempting tossed-up googly on the stumps.

Charles attempts a slogsweep but fails to connect cleanly, resulting in the ball soaring high into the air. With great anticipation and agility, Tilak covers a distance of 10-15 meters to his left and executes a spectacular diving catch. Kuldeep Yadav celebrates as he strikes in his very first over. What a fantastic display of judgment and fielding prowess!
