The Sunrisers Hyderabad’s impressive bowling effort restricted the Delhi Capitals to a total of just 144/9 in the first innings. While the spectators were impressed with SRH’s bowling, a mishap between two DC batters in the final over gained a lot of attention.
During the over, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a yorker to Ripal Patel on the second delivery. Patel hit the ball to deep square leg and attempted to take a second run to keep the strike.
However, his partner Anrich Nortje declined to take the run as it was impossible for both of them to make their crease. After completing a single run, Patel tried to sneak a double by running towards the striker’s end, but Nortje refused and attempted to send him back.
Despite this, Patel continued running. Realizing that his partner was running for a double, Nortje started running too, but it was too late.
As the fielder threw the ball to the wicketkeeper, both batters found themselves stranded in the middle of the pitch, unsure of what to do next.
