WATCH : Umpire embarrassed after getting the right LBW call but giving the wrong signal after DRS

During the second ODI of the current series between Australia and South Africa, a comical incident occurred featuring on-field umpire Claire Polosak. Initially, Polosak correctly ruled batter Sune Luus as not out on the final ball of the 24th over.

Despite the Aussies opting for a review, the on-field decision remained unchanged as the ball struck Luus outside the line of the off-stump while she attempted a sweep shot. However, when the third umpire instructed Polosak to maintain her original decision, the on-field umpire signaled Luus as out.

Claire Polosak quickly recognized her mistake and signaled not out while apologizing for the error. Australian fielders Alana King and Ashleigh Gardner were spotted sharing a laugh as they watched the umpire’s error unfold.

Gardner managed to take Luus’ wicket in her following over, dismissing the former South African skipper for just 19 runs off 33 balls.
