WATCH : Virat Kohli Approaches Naveen: They Laugh About Their Fight After The Match

The Virat Kohli versus Naveen-ul-Haq rivalry has ultimately come to a close, with King Kohli displaying his generosity and sportsmanship by refraining from encouraging the Delhi crowd to heckle Naveen. During the one-sided match between India and Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, fans in attendance frequently engaged in playful teasing, chanting “Kohli Kohli” while Naveen-ul-Haq batted and bowled. This banter even began during the warm-up sessions prior to the match.

In the midst of India’s innings, Virat Kohli and Naveen exchanged words, shook hands, and shared a brief embrace. Kohli made a significant gesture by urging the Delhi crowd to ease up on Naveen, a move that was praised on social media.

Following India’s successful chase, with Virat Kohli remaining unbeaten on 55, he approached Naveen-ul-Haq. The two shared a hearty laugh, likely in reference to their previous encounters, and settled the matter between them.

After the match, Naveen praised Virat Kohli, revealing that it was the Indian cricket superstar who suggested putting the matter to rest.

“Virat Kohli is a very gracious individual. The Delhi crowd was supporting their hometown hero, which is only natural, and they were chanting ‘Kohli, Kohli’.”

“Naveen further explained, “What occurs on the field stays on the field; nothing carries over off the field. After shaking hands, Virat suggested, ‘Let’s put it behind us,’ and I agreed.”

Meanwhile, India secured a resounding 8-wicket victory in Delhi, thanks to a remarkable century by Rohit Sharma. He hammered 131 runs in 84 deliveries, featuring 16 fours and 5 sixes, comfortably surpassing the target of 273 runs in just 35 overs.

The action now shifts to Ahmedabad, where India is set to face Pakistan. Rohit had previously scored a century against Pakistan in the 2019 World Cup in England.
