On January 31, during Day 2 of the Delhi vs. Railways Ranji match, star batter Virat Kohli was clean bowled by Railways’ Himanshu Sangwan. Kohli had made 6 runs off 15 balls before his dismissal.
Sangwan bowled an almost full-length delivery outside off, tempting Kohli to drive. However, the ball slipped through the gap between bat and pad, sending the stumps flying. This wicket came right after Kohli had struck a four with a crisp straight drive in the previous over.
Following his success, Sangwan celebrated with notable enthusiasm—a stark contrast to Jammu and Kashmir’s bowler, who showed no such emotion when dismissing Rohit Sharma during the last Ranji match against Mumbai on January 23.
Kohli made his much-anticipated return to Ranji for the final group-stage match starting on January 30, and the crowd at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium had been turning up in large numbers to see him play.

On Day 1, Kohli interacted with fans, even after one breached security to meet him. The excitement was palpable on Day 2, with fans eager to see Kohli bat. But after his dismissal, many were quick to leave the stadium, their hopes dashed.
