WATCH : Yashasvi Jaiswal gets run out after miscommunication with Samson

After scoring 50 runs in the powerplay, Rajasthan Royals lost one wicket and needed to recover when they were reduced to 60/3 by the seventh over. Yashasvi Jaiswal showed great form and looked poised to score big, demonstrating fluent strokeplay at the crease.

Unfortunately, his impressive performance was cut short by Sanju Samson’s mistake while running between the wickets.

During the sixth over, bowled by Rashid Khan, Samson was on strike and faced a quick delivery outside off. He attempted a cut shot to place the ball between point and backward point, but Abhinav Manohar dove to stop the ball.

Initially, both batsmen started for a run, but Samson quickly changed his mind and returned to the batting crease without indicating his partner’s intentions. Meanwhile, Mohit Sharma fielded beside Manohar, retrieved the ball, and threw it to Rashid Khan.

Jaiswal had already run almost the full distance for a single and was miles away from his end. Samson’s sudden change of mind left Jaiswal stranded, and he was run out. Twitter users expressed their disappointment with the Rajasthan Royals skipper’s actions.
