Some of the most consistent performers from domestic circuit finally rewarded with India call-up. With Rahul Dravid as head-coach it’s great opportunity for everyone to showcase their talent.
Devdutt Paddikal has been one of the top players in domestic circuit from last few years. The karanataka opening batsman has been some serious form in all 3 formats of the game, finally got his maiden call-up for the Indian team. With Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw and Ruturaj Gaikwad in squad will be intresting battle between 3 youngsters. Another dynamic opening batsman from Maharashtra who has been consistently performing from over the years. He has been some serious form in recently concluded IPL too. When he gets going very few player can match his class.Same issue with Ruturaj with 4 openers in squad it will be interesting to see how many games Ruturaj will get. Rahul Chahar has to be the most improved spinner in the country. Performing extremely well for Mumbai Indians from last 2 year. With Chahal and Kuldeep struggling to find the rhythm great opportunity for Rahul Chahar to seal a spot for him in upcoming T20 World Cup. Chetan Sakariya has been a story in last couple of months. The Gujarat Fast Bowling sensation impressed everyone in the IPL. Did extremely well in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Finally rewarded with India call-up. Varun Chakravarty, the mystery spinner from Tamilnadu has been one among the top 5 spinner in last 2 IPL. He has been in the contention for team India in last 2 year but didn’t make it as he failed to pass the yo-yo test. Great opportunity for him just before the T20 World Cup to mark his presence in the team and perform well. Prithvi Shaw had been some serious form since the Vijay Hazare Trophy,he scored more than 700+ runs in last edition of Vijay Hazare Trophy with second to none. Led Mumbai to win the title also scored runs in IPL for the Delhi Capitals. He will like to continue his dream form fir the national team as well. Ishan Kishan, the Jharkhand born WK batsman was impressive in his debut series against England in Ahmedabad. He has been a terrific IPL in UAE 2020 as well. With Sanju Samson in the squad will be an interesting battle between him and Sanju. Kuldeep Yadav, he hasn’t been in best of form in recent times. Great opportunity for Kuldeep to prove his worth against comparatively weaker SL side in the condition he enjoys to bowl. With many things to prove from his mysterious dictionary, he won’t get better opportunity than this to prove himself.
Navdeep Saini, he has been blessed with everything a fast bowler could have apart from consistency same case with Umesh Yadav in his younger days. With his raw-pace, Saini can destroy any batting line-up on his days. With so many fast bowlers coming around he has to prove his worth to be in the contention for the T20 WC.
Sanju Samson, the WK batsman from Kerala has been in and out from the team since long. The only thing he lacks his consistency even in IPL he scores runs then fail in next 2 matches and repeat. Big opportunity for him to prove his worth and get a spot in the unsettled middle order of the Indian team
