But their efforts were not enough and eventually the Windies sealed the victory, thanks to Kemar Roach’s 30 runs which came at a much crucial time.

Kemar Roach, who is widely known for his brutal fast bowling spells delivered a handy 30 runs innings, scoring two boundaries.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam in a post-match interview said: “This is the beauty of Test cricket. We did well with batting, but we didn’t carry on with the momentum in the first innings. The bowlers did well, and then again, we lost momentum with quick wickets in the second innings. It was difficult to score, it was swinging and seaming, the outfield was slow, and their bowlers bowled in the channel,” Babar was quoted as saying after the match.

“We were patient and wanted to build a partnership. Hasan, Shaheen, and Abbas were good throughout, and we took our catches, but we did drop two in the final session which might have made the difference,” he added.

Despite the scintillating efforts the Pak’s could not get hold of the match and the visitors went 1-0 up in a two match test series. The next game is scheduled to start from Friday 25 August at the same venue. Pakistan will be desperate for a win and will try their everything to tie the series after losing the first match.
