Australia has leveled the ongoing ODI series against India in a display of sheer domination, winning the second game by 10 wickets. Mitchell Starc delivered a sensational spell, taking a five-wicket haul, while Sean Abbott played a vital role by picking three scalps to help bundle out the opposition.
Following a thrashing by India in the first ODI of the series, Australia sought vengeance in Visakhapatnam by opting to bowl first after winning the toss. The slightly overcast conditions favored the bowlers, and Mitchell Starc capitalized on this by swinging the white ball both ways, leaving the Indian batters clueless.
With a five-wicket haul, Starc wreaked havoc while Sean Abbott and Nathan Ellis shared five wickets between them. The visitors’ clinical bowling unit bowled out India for 117 in just 26 overs.
During the second innings, Australian openers Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh put on an exhibition of powerful hitting, making the chase seem like a minuscule task.
Marsh remained unbeaten with 66 runs off 36 balls, while his partner blasted an unbeaten 51 runs from just 30 balls. Their devastating performance caused absolute carnage, and Australia easily chased down the target in just 11 overs.
