In the 2nd ODI between India and Australia, the Australian team dominated with their bowling, led by their top bowler Mitchell Starc who once again proved to be a menace to the Indian batting line-up. Despite Virat Kohli’s promising start, he fell victim to a straight delivery from Nathan Ellis, resulting in his dismissal.

Starc proved to be unstoppable with the new ball, claiming five wickets and leaving India all out for a mere 117 runs. Kohli was the highest scorer for India, managing to accumulate 31 runs before his departure.

Following his outstanding performances in the red-ball series, Axar Patel demonstrated his batting prowess yet again as he remained unbeaten at 29, even as the Australian bowlers continued to wreak havoc on the Indian batting line-up.

Despite more than half of the Indian team being dismissed, the team’s star player Virat Kohli was seen chatting and laughing with skipper Rohit Sharma, teammate Suryakumar Yadav, and coach Paras Mhambrey on the sidelines.

After a dismal batting performance resulting in just 117 runs on the board, India will now have to rely on their bowling to defend their score. The hosts will need to be precise with their deliveries and hope their pacers can match the effectiveness of their Australian counterparts.
