During Match 18 of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) at Navi Mumbai’s Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy on Monday, Radha Yadav of Delhi Capitals taunted the Mumbai Indians’ home fans.
This incident occurred after DC bowlers had reduced MI to 21/4, and Pooja Vastrakar and Harmanpreet Kaur had steadied the ship.
Vastrakar played some aggressive shots during the ninth and 10th over, including three fours and one six, which revitalized the MI fans.
However, during the 11th over, Vastrakar was caught at long-off by Radha Yadav after a toe-end connection with Jess Jonassen’s tossed-up delivery. Immediately after completing the catch, Radha brought out the ear-cupping celebration to silence the crowd further.
This celebration is common in football, and many netizens compared it with Virat Kohli’s early days. Notably, the match was between the table-toppers, and a victory could help MI qualify directly for the final.
