The England’s fast swing bowler James Anderson moves to number 1 in the latest ICC Test bowling rankings after the brilliant performance in Lord’s Test against West Indies. The England team won the third Test match and also won the Test series with a margin of 2-1.
Anderson overtake the Indian left arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja and now leading with 12 points. The another Indian off-spinner Ravi Ashwin and Sri Lanka’s Rangana Herath are on the second and third places respectively.
The last time Anderson was the number 1 ranked in 2016. He is now the oldest bowler to reclaim the number 1 rank in ICC Test Bowling Rankings. Anderson took nine wickets in the third test match against West Indies.
In the Team rankings the Indian Cricket Team is still the number 1 team. The South African Team and the England Team are on the second and third places respectively.
