It is not unknown to seasoned Cricket lovers that Indian skipper Virat Kohli and former South African international AB de Villiers are the best of friends. It all started in the year 2011 when IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore signed Ab de Villiers. Virat Kohli was already playing for the Challengers back then and it took them just a few days to develop an awesome friendship. Ever since, their duo has been one of the deadly combinations in the history of Indian Premier League and on a good day, they can single handedly change the fate of any game together.
In an interview with Youtube channel Breakfast with Champions, Ab de Villiers recently revealed why he fears to say anything frankly to Virat Kohli. He talked about how genuinely Virat Kohli loves his teammates and gave examples of his big-heartedness and his innocence. Citing a story to explain the thing, he recalled an incident when he praised the shoes of Virat Kohli and jokingly said that he wished he had the pair. Virat Kohli instantly made some arrangements and within minutes, AB de Villiers had those shoes. AB de Villiers said how repeatedly Virat Kohli does these things and he does not have an option but to go like “Virat Just Stop it!”. This is why, De Villiers said, that he is afraid to say everything to Kohli. According to the big-hitter, each and every team member gets a similar treatment from Virat Kohli.
AB de Villiers is all prepared for the second phase of IPL 2021. The Proteas player had been in tremendous touch in the first phase of the tournament and he will hope to keep up his good form in the remaining games as well.
