Test cricket has always been a literal ‘test’ of your patience, grit, and technique. When it comes to patience, there have been many players over the years who are said to be ‘born for the longest format of the game.’ Many players have had low strike rates in test (which is only logical), but very few have been able to reach the level of Cheteshwar Pujara as far as low strike rates are concerned. The Indian batsman is compared with Rahul Dravid and is also sometimes called the “New Wall of India”, i,e, the true successor of Rahul Dravid.

Cheteshwar Pujara once again proved that he is made for test cricket during India’s second innings in the second test of the ongoing series against England. In at three, the veteran batsman took as many as 35 balls to score his first run and when it finally did happen, the crows broke out in applause. Even Virat Kohli, who was at the non-striker’s end, came up to congratulate Pujara sarcastically and the player himself was laughing.

A video clip of the incident got crazily viral on social media moments after it happened and fans can’t stop drooling over it. Some fans are praising Pujara for his patience and grit whereas others are making memes on him comparing him with a tortoise or rather an impenetrable wall.

However, Pujara has been in terrible form lately. As it now stands, India need a 200+ score to be in a safe side lest they should lose the match. The visitors have already lost two wickets and for them to reach a 200+ runs, two players must click today, namely Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli, i.e, the duo that is batting currently.
