Indian pacer Mohammad Shami is celebrating his 31st birthday at Kennington, Oval among the crowds. The Indian pacer missed the 4th test to reduce his workload. Shami has played in the last three tests in England. Shami has picked up 11 wickets in the past three test against England.
Shami’s fans brought a birthday cake for him wearing his birthday special tshirts with balloons. One of his fan was wearing a t-shirt with ‘Happy Birthday Shami’ written at the back of it. Shami was walking behind the boundary ropes along with Abhimanyu Easwaran when some fans in the crowd requested him to cut the cake in the open. The fans were chanting his name while he has cutting the cake.
Shami has been a sensational bowler for India in the past few years. Time and again he has proved his worth and is considered one of the main mans in the bowling attack. Shami has picked up 195 test wickets in 54 matches for India at an average of 27.56.
Without Shami India lacked a bit of experience in the first innings. With Ishant Sharma and Mohammad Shami both sitting in the bench, the Indian bowling line-up weaker than the previous matches. India restricted England to 290 in the first inning. England are leading by 98 runs after the conclusion of 1st innings. Umesh Yadav picked up three wickets while Bumrah and Jadeja picked two wickets each. Mohammad Siraj and Shardul Thakur could only manage to pick up two wickets all together.
