RCB have had a horrible start to their first match against KKR after the resumption of the season. Captain Kohli was the first to make his walk to the pavilion as Prasidha Krishna found him just in front of the stumps. Despite the skipper going for a review straight away, yet the decision remained same which is OUT. Kohli was dismissed just after he hit a great cover drive.
The other opener Devdutt Padikkal was dismissed just on the cusp of the powerplay. Lockie Ferguson was the one who got hold of his wicket.
However, the most shocking dismissal was of former Protea’s skipper AB De Villiers. ABD was dismissed off the first ball for a duck by none other than KKR’s star all-rounder Andre Russell.
RCB’s most expensive player Glenn Maxwell was soon dismissed by Varun Chakraborty. Varun tossed the ball up, Maxwell clears his front leg for a massive slog over mid-wicket. Maxwell moved towards the leg side and it was shot which was played out of frustration. He missed it all together and the ball went up to hit the leg stump. Glenn Maxwell’s last four dismissals in the IPL have been against a spinner. Wanindu Hasaranga fell off in the very next delivery. RCB are struggling at 63/6 after the completion of 12 overs.
All the star batsmen’s of RCB have departed, most of them unable to reach the double-digit mark as well. RCB’s big three are back in the hut.
Sachin Baby and Kyle Jamieson falls prey to Varun Chakraborty. Harshal Patel and Mohammad Siraj fall apart as RCB are bundled for 92 runs in 19 overs.
