The Delhi’s cricketer Gautam Gambhir stepped down from the captaincy in the upcoming season of the Ranji Trophy. He was captain of the Delhi team since four seasons. Ishant Sharma will lead the Delhi team in this season.
Earlier this year, Gambhir made an allegation on the coach of Delhi Team. For that he was even dropped as captain for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. At that time the wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant named as the captain.
Right now Rishabh Pant is busy in playing the matches for India A. So he is unable to do this task for his home team.
