Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw confirmed his relationship with model and actress Nidhi Tapadia on Valentine’s Day in an Instagram story, addressing her as “my wife”. The post was, however, deleted within minutes after going up.
Pictures of partying with Nidhi went viral on social media, fueling rumors of their affair. However, neither Prithvi Shaw nor Nidhi gave any statement about this until Shaw’s recent public declaration of love.
The actress recently left a comment on Prithvi Shaw’s Instagram post, which fueled rumors about their relationship.
Having made his international comeback after a hiatus of 18 months, Prithvi Shaw was part of the T20I series against New Zealand but did not play any matches. He is a top contender along with David Warner for the captaincy of Delhi Capitals in the upcoming IPL 2023.
Rishabh Pant, the regular captain and wicket-keeper of Team India, will be unavailable to play this season due to injuries sustained in a car accident last December. Prithvi Shaw, who has scored 1588 runs with 12 half-centuries in 63 IPL matches, is a potential replacement for Pant.
In the previous season, Shaw scored 283 runs in ten matches at a strike rate of 152.97, including two fifties. Delhi Capitals finished fifth with seven wins from 14 matches and have yet to win the IPL.
