The BCCI is all set to host the 2023 World Cup, which is the 13th edition of this tournament. India will also host the upcoming Champions Trophy in 2021. The both decisions are decided in the SGM, held on December 11.
As we all know that the next World Cup is all set to happen in England and Wales in 2019. India will host first time ever this tournament completely. Earlier, India hosted the World Cup three times (1987, 1996 and 2011).
This will be a great opportunity for the BCCI to host the biggest tournament among the World cricket. The team India is the two time champion, as the team won the 1983 World Cup under the captaincy of Kapil Dev and in the 2011 World Cup under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
