India vs England : Ravichandran Ashwin suffered a minor hand injury

The Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin suffered with a minor hand injury during the ongoing three day practice match against Essex. Due to that, he didn’t come to the field on the Day 2.

The right hand of Ashwin injured during the net practice session. The team management said that it is a minor injury, nothing serious. Later Ashwin bowled during the lunch break in the net session.

The team India is playing their only three-day practice match against Essex. After winning the toss, India captain Virat Kohli opted to bat first. Dinesh Karthik is the top run scorer of the team, who scored 82 runs off 95 balls with the help of 14 fours.

Murali Vijay, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya also played some sensible knock. Vijay scored 53 runs off 113 balls with the help of 7 fours, Kohli scored 68 runs off 93 balls with the help of 12 fours, KL Rahul scored 58 runs off 92 balls with the help of 12 fours and Pandya scored 51 runs off 82 balls with the help of 7 fours.

Rishabh Pant also played some handy shots at the last and remained unbeaten on 34 off just 26 balls with the help of 6 fours. The team India scored 395 runs.

In the reply of Indian team, Essex scored 237 for 5 at the end of Day 2. Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma took 2-2 wickets, while Shardul Thakur took 1 wicket so far.

The team India will play the first test match match against England from August 1 and the spinner will play as a Key player in the squad.
