Nepal secured their place in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 by defeating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with an impressive eight-wicket victory at the Mulpani Cricket Ground. Their journey in the qualifiers has been remarkable, with convincing wins over Singapore and Malaysia by eight and six wickets, respectively.

They narrowly missed out on the final, losing to Oman by just five runs in the semi-finals. On the flip side, Oman’s exceptional performance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup qualifiers earned them a well-deserved spot.

They began with a solid 32-run win over Malaysia, followed by a 22-run triumph over Singapore in the semi-finals, and a dominant eight-wicket victory over the United Arab Emirates to secure their place in the final. Their dominance continued in the semi-final as they easily defeated Bahrain by ten wickets.

The highly anticipated final showdown is scheduled for Sunday, where Nepal will face Oman. With these two teams qualifying, 18 countries have now confirmed their spots for the 2024 T20 World Cup, which will be hosted in the West Indies and the United States next year. The last two spots will be determined in the Africa qualifier, set to take place at the end of the month.

Leading up to the grand showdown, fans and social media platforms were filled with jubilant celebrations, showcasing the remarkable progress and unwavering dedication of both teams to the game of cricket.
