Mohammed Amir, the quick bowler from Pakistan, has a tendency to attract attention for various unpredictable reasons. Recently, during the Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars match on February 19 in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), he drew notice by imitating Triple H’s inappropriate celebration after taking a wicket. This controversial act has since led to Amir receiving criticism and condemnation.

Mohammad Amir, the pace bowler from Pakistan, holds a vital position in the Karachi Kings’ bowling lineup. However, his exuberant celebration after dismissing West Indies batsman Shai Hope during their match against Lahore Qalandars did not sit well with cricket fans. The incident occurred in the 6th over of Lahore Qalandars’ innings when Amir delivered a short and wide ball, causing Hope to hit a catch to Irfan Khan at the point.

Following his successful dismissal, Amir performed an inappropriate celebration inspired by WWE celebrity Triple H, which quickly gained popularity on various social media platforms. However, the left-arm pacer’s controversial display drew harsh criticism from netizens, who condemned his indecent gesture after taking the wicket. Pakistani cricket fans also joined in the backlash, disapproving of Amir’s decision to imitate the famous wrestler’s signature celebration.

It is worth mentioning that Mohammad Amir made headlines a few days ago during a PSL match against Peshawar Zalmi when he threw the ball in the direction of Pakistan captain Babar Azam. Following this incident, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi had a conversation with the left-arm fast bowler and advised him to maintain his composure on the field.

Mohammad Amir concluded the match with figures of 2-0-12-1. However, he was unable to complete his full quota of four overs after sustaining an injury following two overs against Lahore Qalandars. Despite his impressive performance for his team, Amir’s lack of control over his aggression continues to draw criticism. This is particularly concerning as there are young, aspiring cricketers in the PSL who look up to him as a role model.
