The Pakistan Cricket Team finds themselves in Kolkata, set to compete against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens. The green-clad squad is teetering on the edge of elimination from the World Cup, and amidst this, they have drawn attention for a different reason.

According to reports, on October 29, the Pakistan Cricket Team opted to forgo dinner at their team hotel, choosing instead to order their favorite dishes through the Zomato food delivery app.

According to sports journalist Farid Khan from Pakistan, the 5-star hotel where the Pakistani team is accommodated did not offer Biryani. Consequently, the Pakistan players placed an order for Biryani, Chap, Firni (Kheer), Kebabs, and Shahi Tukda from a nearby restaurant called ‘Zam Zam.’ The restaurant director revealed to ANI that they were unaware that the order had been placed by the Pakistan Cricket Players.

“The order was placed via an online food delivery platform, including three dishes: biryani, kebabs, and chap. The order was made on Sunday evening after 7 PM. Initially, we were unaware that it was the Pakistan cricket team placing the order, but later we learned of their identity. We sincerely hope they enjoyed the meal. We welcome people of all nationalities to try our cuisine. Kolkata’s unique style of biryani is renowned worldwide,” said Shadman Faize, the restaurant’s director.

Ever since the Pakistan team’s arrival in India, their culinary preferences have become a source of humor for many. While most athletes prioritize healthy eating to maintain their fitness, Pakistan’s players appear to struggle with resisting their culinary delights. On the other hand, Virat Kohli has chosen the vegetarian path, forsaking his once-beloved butter chicken.
