India registered a historic victory over England in the Lord’s test two days ago, which was only the second victory that the Blues ever tasted at the Home of Cricket. With, the visitors now have a 1-0 lead in the ongoing 5-match test series which automatically makes them the favourites to seal the series convincingly.

Indian batsman KL Rahul played a key role in their victory at Lord’s. His fabulous century in the first innings was what gave India a dream start upon and set the momentum for the win. He also played crucial knocks in both the innings of the first match. India might have not won the first match due to the last day being washed out by rain but the opener certainly left an impact.
The England test series marked the return of KL Rahul in Test cricket after a long gap of two years. Indian opener Mayank Aggarwal was the favourite to open alongside Rohit Sharma but he got ruled out of the first match owing to an injury.

KL Rahul capitalized this golden opportunity and had now cemented his spot in the team with his great performances.
The opener was also awarded the man of the match award in the second match. After India sealed the victory, KL Rahul took to instagram to post a picture of him in the test jersey. He gave the caption: “Test cricket, how I’ve missed you.”
Krunal Pandya’s wife Pankhurii Sharma also expressed her joy on his return to test cricket and she reacted to his post.
