Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday made an epic comeback against Punjab Kings, defeating them by two runs in the final over of the game. Punjab Kings were in a comfortable position and at no point it looked like that the Royals will take away much needed two points from PBKS until Kartik Tyagi bowled the 20th over of the game.

Rajasthan Royals were put to bat by PBKS skipper KL Rahul. Royals imposed a target of 186 runs after a successful opening partnership between Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jaiswal however fell a run short to score his fifty. Mahipal Lomror added some valuable runs in the end and RR were bowled out for 185 after the completion of 20 overs.
Chasing 186, PBKS looked comfortable as KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal started with a 120-run partnership. Even after the dismissal of the opening duo, PBKS had no problem chasing down the total. They needed 4 off the final over. Kartik Tyagi probably bowled the best six balls of his life, dismissing Nicolas Pooran and Deepak Hooda and conceding only a run. PBKS fell short of 3 runs as they scored 183/4 after the completion of 20 overs.
However, this is not the first time PBKS have lost the match from a comfortable position. Punjab Kings Twitter admin was confident enough of sealing the victory like most people watching the match. Victory was on their doorsteps until Kartik Tyagi conceded only a run and dismissed two batsmen. The dramatic turn of events in the 20th over caught PBKS social media admin by a surprise. At one stage of the game when Punjab needed 10 runs from 15 balls, Punjab Kings tweeted this:
However, the tweet was deleted moments after PBKS lost the match. This is why it is always advised to not celebrate too early even if victory is on your doorsteps. Fans are trolling PBKS over this tweet.
