SGM of the BCCI Will be Held on a New Date

The Special General Meeting (SGM) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now scheduled for a new date. The meeting will now held on 9th December instead of 1st December. The BCCI acting president CK Khanna confirmed that the meeting will be held in Delhi.

The main agenda of this meeting is the ICC schedule, Kochi settlement and Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA). So it will be interesting to see the updates of the this meeting, where the chief of the Committee on Administrators (CoA) will be also appear.

The future of Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Rajasthan Cricket Association will be depend on this meeting. As we all know that, the BCCI banned Lalit Modi (former Chairman of the IPL Governing Council) for a lifetime due to his indiscipline behavior.

The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has already confirmed that Modi is out of the panel and also no longer as the president of the Nagaur District Association. Earlier in a SGM meeting, the board decided the future of Lalit Modi.

“Lalit Modi is guilty of committing acts of serious misconduct and indiscipline, and therefore, in exercise of powers as per Regulation 32 of the Memorandum and Rules and Regulations of the Board, Lalit Modi be and is hereby expelled from the BCCI. He shall forfeit all his rights and privileges as Administrator. He shall not in future be entitled to hold any position or office, or be admitted in any Committee or any member or associate member of the Board.”
