Shikhar Dhawan is Ruled Out of Final ODI

The Indian opener batsman Shikhar Dhawan is ruled out of the fifth and final One Day International match against Sri Lanka. He will also miss the only Twenty-20 match on this tour, as he will fly back home to tend to his ailing mother.

The BCCI official said,”Mr. Shikhar Dhawan would be leaving for India tomorrow i.e. September 3rd to see his ailing mother. Mr. Dhawan’s mother is stable and is recovering well at the moment.”

As we all know that Shikhar Dhawan is in the great form in this entire tour including the Test match also. He was the leading run scorer in the Test series. Dhawan was also the Golden bat winner in the recent ICC Champions Trophy.

The other opener batsman Ajinkya Rahane will be replacing him in the rest matches, as the Test opener batsman KL Rahul is comfortable with his middle order position so far in the One Day International series.

The team India already won the all first four matches of the series and looking for the whitewash. The opener batsman Rohit Sharma is in the great form, who hit two back to back centuries in the series.

The Indian captain Virat Kohli is also in the great touch. He scored his 29th century in the last match and won the player of the match. The wicketkeeper batsman MS Dhoni is also in the great touch and played three back to back sensible knocks so far.
