That was such a sensational fielding by Australian spinner Nathan Lyon in the first test match of the Ashes series against England at The Gabba, Brisbane.
Lyon roars a throw at the bowler’s end and strikes. A direct hit ends the efforts of Vince. That was punched on the up into the off-side, the man at cover moved to his right, picked it up one-handed and hurled in the throw to catch the batsman well short of his crease.
These are the moments of brilliance that can turn the game on its head. The crowd erupts. The Aussies are cock-a-hoop as well. There was never a single there.
