As we all know that the Indian Premier League teams Chennai Super Kings and the Rajasthan Royals are ready to back in the action after the two year suspension, the player retention policy is now a big headache for the IPL officials and the BCCI.

The two teams Kolkata Knight Riders and the Rajasthan Royals are opposed to the decision of player retention policy. So it will be a huge problem for all the team owners to retain his favorite player for next season of this league.

The IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla said,”The meeting went off well. The idea was to invite actual team owners and solicit their views now that 10 years have concluded. Lot of things like retention, salary cap, squad strength were discussed. The majority of the owners wants player retention. I think we will be able to finalise the details in a fortnight.”

The Chennai Super Kings already posted about the retention of their star players like the captain MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Faf du Plessis and Dwayne Bravo. The RCB will also look for his captain Virat Kohli, who is in the great form. So it will be interesting to see the decision of IPL officials about this matter.
