Terrible from Thirimanne and Ashwin has struck, his first of the series, the first wicket by any Indian spinner in this series. This was coming, India kept a check on the scoring rate and Thirimanne finally loses his patience.
This was tossed up just outside off and came back with the angle, Thirimanne didn’t cover for the angle as he went for a big sweep, the ball curled past the outside edge and crashed into the off-stump. Ashwin deserved this wicket, he’s been very disciplined in this spell so far, a giveaway from Thirimanne though.
Earlier the Sri Lankan captain Dinesh Chandimal won the toss and elect to bat first in this second test of Paytm series between India and Sri Lanka. The team India is playing with three changes, while the Sri Lankan team is playing with same squad.
