The Indian middle order batsman Ajinkya Rahane took a successful review to survive in the first innings of the second test after scoring a brilliant century. Rahane completed his 9th Test century in today’s game and also unbeaten after the end of Day 1.
The on field umpire gave him LBW in the over of Sri Lankan spinner Rangana Herath. In the replay, the ball clearly took the edge of Rahane’s bat.
The third umpire said,” Looked like a clear inside edge. Let’s see. Arm-ball from Herath that skids on. Rahane is defending off the back foot and there’s a clear inside edge. Oh umpire Bruce Oxenford! He’ll have to reverse the decision.”
