The Indian opener batsman Rohit Sharma run out in a miscommunication with Indian skipper Virat Kohli in the fourth One Day International match of Paytm series between India and Australia.
Rohit scored 65 runs off just 55 balls with the help of 1 four and 5 sixes. In 2013, these two were involved in a run-out, Kohli was out then. Four years later, against the same opposition at this very ground, they are stranded at the same end and this time Rohit pays the price. Australia have bought this wicket from nowhere.
Steven Smith you beauty! What a stunning piece of fielding. Kohli punched this short of length delivery to the left of backward point, Smith flew to his left and stopped the ball, Kohli took off but on seeing his counterpart stop the ball, returned to the crease and sold Rohit down the river. Smith initially threw at the striker’s end, missed, then yelled to Handscomb to throw to the bowler, who did the rest. Rohit was looking so good for another big knock.
