According to the rumors the Indian captain Virat Kohli will be not available for the upcoming One Day International series against Sri Lanka and Rohit Sharma will be the captain of the team. But the regular Indian captain Virat Kohli confirms that he will be available for the entire series.
Virat Kohli said,”Who said I am not playing? I don’t know where this came from, but I have no problems in playing.”
The team India is likely to be announced on 13th August. According to the reports, the star spinners Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja will be rested from the series including the fast bowler Mohammed Shami.
“We (team management and selectors) are going to sit down on selection soon and we certainly have plans in mind and combinations that we want to speak about. So as captain, I am definitely in the thick of things and knowing what to speak to the committee about,” Kohli added.
The Indian Cricket Team is now playing the Test series against the Sri Lankan team. Where the Virat and the company is leading the series by a margin of 2-0 and looking for first overseas whitewash under Kohli’s captaincy.
