India are just 3 wickets away from creating history as they look to defeat England in what will go down in history as one of the most spectacular comebacks of all time in the longest formats of the game. After Day 4,i.e, yesterday, netizens had written India off due to their dull performance on the penultimate day of the match and were expecting the hosts to emerge victorious. The maximum that could be achieved of the blues was a draw. But as it now stands, team India are just inches away from tasting victory in the historical Lord’s test.

It was anticipated that the rivalry between the pacers of the two sides will heat up on the last day because of the incident that occured on Day 4. When England pacer Jimmy Anderson came in to bat as a tailender, the Indian bowlers started bowling successive bouncers against him without a stop. This angered Jimmy Anderson and many were of the opinion that Anderson will take sweet revenge when the Indian tailenders come in to bat.

Unfortunately that was not to happen and Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah did exceptionally well in India’ s second innings. Things did get heated up, however, in England’s second innings between Indian pacer Mohammad Siraj and English tailender Ollie Robinson.

When the Englishman came in to bat, Siraj welcomed him with a sharp bouncer that hit Ollie’s helmet and unnerved him for a moment. That was followed by a heated war of words between the two players mid-pitch and Indian captain Virat Kohli had to come in to calm Siraj down. Mohammad Siraj has been quite aggressive in his approach for almost the entirety of the series so far.
