Akeal Hosein started the bowling attack for the Gladiators, but Usman Khan wasted no time, dispatching two consecutive fours in the opening over.
Mohammad Rizwan joined the onslaught with a powerful six in the following over. However, despite the aggressive start, Multan’s openers couldn’t maintain momentum as Abrar Ahmad claimed the crucial wicket of Usman, prompting an exuberant celebration from Ahmed.
In the third over’s final delivery, Abrar delivered a well-calculated short-of-a-length ball, adjusting his length as Usman advanced down the track. Usman attempted to launch the ball for a six but misjudged, leaving it untouched by his bat.
Seizing the opportunity, Quetta’s wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed swiftly collected the ball and executed a precise stumping, sending Usman back to the pavilion.
