Bangladesh on a roll in the ongoing 5 match T20I series against Australia. After winning the first match by 23 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium Mirpur, which was the first ever win by Bangladesh against The Aussies.After a emphatic victory in the first match the Tigers continued the momentum and led the 5 match T20 series by 2-0 and need just one win from the remaining 3 match to seal the series.
After losing the first match Australia were on huge pressure with big player missing the series and with the standby captain Mathew Wade. After winning the toss Australia chose to bat first once again it’s Mitchell Marsh who carried the batting line-up by scoring 45 from 42 ball and M Henriques scored 30 from 25 ball. Australia able to score only 121 in the 20 over with only 2 batsman scoring 20+ runs(M Marsh 45 and M Henriques 30) . Mustafizur picked 3 wickets for Bangladesh.
While chasing a target of 122, Bangladesh started slowly after losing 2 early wickets. Then Shakib and Mahedi hasan added 37 for the third wicket, after the skipper gone for duck 2 youngster Afif Hossain and WK Nurul stayed unbeaten by scoring 37 and 22 respectively and asuured the victory for the host. Apart from that Shakib scored 26 and Mahedi Hasan scored 23. A wicket for Starc, Hazlewood,Agar, Zampa and Tye.
