WATCH : Ajinkya Rahane took Sharp catch to dismiss Krunal Pandya

Caught by Rahane! Theekshana strikes again! On his debut, Krunal Pandya departs for a duck. The delivery was flat and continually moved away from the batsman. Krunal attempted a shot, but the ball took the outside edge and flew towards first slip, where Rahane took a sharp, low catch.

Jinks exhibited a classic slip catch, reminiscent of the ones he takes frequently while playing Test cricket in whites. However, this catch was perhaps the first time he did it in a yellow CSK jersey.

With KL Rahul ruled out of the match due to injury, Krunal Pandya is leading the Lucknow Super Giants. After winning the toss, MS Dhoni opted to bat first. In Rahul’s absence, Manan Vohra opened the batting alongside Kyle Mayers.

Lucknow Super Giants are concerned about Chennai Super Kings’ resilience, particularly in light of injuries to their captain Rahul and seamer Jaydev Unadkat. In their last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, LSG failed to chase down a modest total of 126, ultimately getting bowled out for 108 in 19.5 overs.

This match was notable for the unsightly scenes that transpired during its later stages and after the final ball was delivered. CSK is currently on a two-match losing streak and will be looking to avoid a third loss at a critical juncture of the season.
