The first Super Saturday of the second phase of IPL 2021 is here and it flaunts two cracking matches. In-form Delhi Capitals take on Rajasthan Royals in the first match of the day. Having won the toss at the Sheikh Zyed Stadium, Rajasthan Royals opted to field first and as is very clear from the first few deliveries, it was a very calculated decision by the Royals. The ace batting lineup of Delhi Capitals have so far looked pale against the pace attack of Rajasthan Royals, and two of their top order batsmen have already been sent back to the dugout.

The first week of the second phase of IPL 2021 has been all about redemption and the rise of unknown faces at crucial situations. Kartik Tyagi is one of those young faces who has outshined among the crowd of experienced players on the roster. He won the match for Rajasthan Royals in the very last over of their previous match against Punjab Kings and he has started on the same high in today’s match as well. In his very first spell of the day, Kartik Tyagi dismissed Delhi Capitals’ batsman Shikhar Dhawan who is also the top contender to win the Orange cap award. However, Tyagi bowled fearlessly against the veteran batsman and packed him up.

However, it will be wrong to say that Tyagi did it all by his own as it was a bit of luck working in his favour as well. Although the delivery by Tyagi was crazy good, Shikhar Dhawan had defended it. Unfortunately after hitting the ground, the ball bounced back and hit the wicket.

Moments later, Tyagi’s partner Chetan Sakariya dismissed the other opener of Delhi Capitals, i.e Prithvi Shaw with an equally awesome delivery. The two young pacers of Rajasthan Royals have thus given them a dream start to the match.
