An unfortunate dismissal saw English pacer Ollie Robinson pack one of India’s most responsible batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara on Day 3 of the ongoing fourth test between India and England. The Indian batsman had an amazing performance in the previous test match at the Headingley stadium wherein he was hands down the best batsman in the Indian team. However, the veteran was denied the opportunity of playing a similar knock in the 4th test as luck did not favour him.

England pacer Ollie Robinson came in to bowl in the 80th over of India’s second innings and he faced Cheteshwar Pujara on the last ball of the over. It was then that he got lucky as an in-swinging delivery took Pujara off-guard and it got an inside edge. However, the ball did not go straight back but it hit Cheteshwar Pujara’s thigh. It led to a deflection that carried the ball all the way to Moeen Ali who was standing at slip. An easy catch for the all-rounder and an unfortunate dismissal for Cheteshwar Pujara.

Pujara scored 61 runs off 127 deliveries which is a decent enough performance but he once again missed the opportunity to score a century, which will haunt him for the rest of the series.

As of now, the game has been suspended owing to poor lighting. India have scored 270 runs in the second inning at an expense of 3 wickets and are currently having a lead of 170 runs. 2 full days are yet to be played in this match and the tables can turn anytime. But this much is sure that the chances of the match being tied are very less.
