Day 1 of the ongoing fourth test between India and England gave rise to a brilliant moment of sportsmanship between two of the biggest arch rivals in modern day test cricket – James Anderson and Virat Kohli. Both the players gave an amazing on the first day of the match and Virat Kohli got the better of James Anderson this time in a way that the pacer could not dismiss Virat Kohli in this innings.

However, James Anderson’s overall performance on the day has been terrific, just like his performance throughout the series so far has been. The Indian batsmen have already learnt in the first three matches that the danger lies mainly in the overs of the 39-year old fast bowler and therefore their strategy for Day 1 of the fourth test had been to defend him and avoid going for risky shots against him.

Despite the precautionary actions, James Anderson managed to pick up the wicket of India’s highest run-scorer of the last test match, Cheteshwar Pujara, in the most exceptional fashion. His astonishing bowling performance compelled even Virat Kohli, who was standing at the non-striker’s end, to compliment his performance. A video of Kohli complementing Anderson during the match has gone viral on twitter and fans are loving the moment of sportsmanship between the two players.
