WATCH: George Gorton bags the wicket of Abhishek Sharma after being hit for a four and a six

George Gorton dismissed Abhishek Sharma early in the innings when Royal Challengers Bangalore locked horns with Punjab Kings at Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore chose to field first after the coin flipped in favor of Kohli. Both the teams decided to play with an unchanged playing XI.

Virat Kohli and co will be looking to win their remaining two matches which will take them to 20 points. With that they will surely end in the top 2. SRH who are already out of the playoffs race have nothing else to lose.

Batting first, Kane Williamson decided to open with Abhishek Sharma instead of Wriddhiman Saha. But Williamson’s move did not work as Abhishek Sharma was dismissed early in the innings. Geroge Gorton removed the 21-year-old in his first over.

Abhishek Sharma smashed a four in the first ball of his over. Gorton bowled a low full toss on the stumps. Abhishek Sharma clipped the ball over the mid-wicket for a boundary. Gorton attempted for the yorker but it did not end where he expected it to.

Sharma smashed a six in the very next delivery. Abhishek Sharma lofted the ball over the mid-off. It was in his hitting range and young Abhishek Sharma frees his arms to get the first maximum of the game.

After being hit for a four and a six in the first two deliveries, Geroge Gorton makes an epic comeback. He removes the young 21-year-old in the penultimate ball of the over. The ball was swinging into the pads, Abhishek Sharma flicks a bit too early, the bat-face closes and the edge loops to the Australian. Glenn Maxwell takes a comfortable catch at mid-on.

Abhishek Sharma departs after scoring 13 off 10 deliveries with a strike rate of 130.
