Southern Brave Women continued to impress at Lord’s in The Hundred, smoothly chasing down a target of 105 against London Spirit in a match reduced to 85 deliveries per side.

Maia Bouchier’s unbeaten 63 was the turning point, but it was Lauren Bell who laid the groundwork for Brave’s victory with a delivery that is sure to be remembered in cricket highlights for years to come.

In her opening spell, the right-arm quick had Grace Harris facing the fifth delivery. Bell sent the ball wide of the off stump from over the wicket.

This induced Harris into an ambitious drive, but the delivery swung sharply from well outside the stumps, evading Harris’ inside edge and crashing into the top of the middle pole.

Bell understandably celebrated her remarkable effort, and on social media, there were swift comparisons to English legend James Anderson due to the incredible amount of swing she managed to generate for this wicket.
