England’s batsman, Harry Brook, played a pivotal role in orchestrating a remarkable comeback for the team against the West Indies during the third T20I on December 16.
Facing a daunting task of chasing down 223 runs for victory while trailing 0-2 in the series, England seemed destined for another disheartening loss. However, the batsmen rallied just in time, particularly openers Phil Salt and Jos Buttler, who set a strong foundation by amassing 115 runs for the first wicket in a mere 68 deliveries.
Despite losing early wickets, including Will Jacks and Liam Livingstone departing after a promising 30-run contribution, Harry Brook partnered with Salt at the crease with England needing 37 runs from 13 balls.
The tension escalated with 21 runs required off the last over, but that’s when Brook took charge. The 24-year-old capitalized on Andre Russell’s bowling, hitting a boundary and two sixes off the first three balls, swiftly reducing the equation to a mere five runs from three deliveries.

Brook’s display of skill was evident in the variety of shots he executed, including a boundary down the fine leg region and two powerful maximums over covers and fine leg. He managed to secure a couple of runs off the fourth ball, leaving England needing three runs off two deliveries, ultimately sealing the victory by hitting another six over the third-man region.
