The first-ever US Masters T10 2023 tournament took place at Central Broward Park in Lauderhill, Florida, from August 18 to 27. This event saw the participation of renowned cricket legends from around the globe.

Among them was Jacques Kallis, the 47-year-old former South African all-rounder, who defied his age and showcased his enduring class and elegance. He emerged as the tournament’s second-highest run-scorer, closely trailing the recently retired Australian captain, Aaron Finch.

Both Finch and Kallis were key members and opening batsmen for the California Knights. The team advanced to Qualifier 2 but fell short of making it to the final by just one step.

Aaron Finch led the run charts with an impressive tally of 236 runs across 8 innings, showcasing a striking strike rate of 203 and an average of 39. Meanwhile, Jacques Kallis closely followed Finch, accumulating 221 runs in 7 innings at an impressive average of 55 and a strike rate of 162.

Kallis recorded a pair of fifty-run innings during the championship. Jacques Kallis displayed his batting prowess with a total of 18 fours and 13 sixes, a remarkable feat for a 47-year-old who had last participated in international cricket 9 years ago.
