Jemimah Rodrigues, a talented cricketer known for her entertaining style, recently shared several videos on social media featuring herself and her Delhi Capitals teammates grooving to Bollywood and Punjabi songs.
In one of the clips, Jemimah and her teammates, including Radha Yadav and Tara Norris, can be seen dancing to popular tracks like ‘Chikni Chameli’ and ‘Tera Sara Gussa.’ Jemimah also showcased her singing skills by belting out some English and Bollywood songs.
In the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL 2023), Jemimah Rodrigues has emerged as one of the top run-scorers for DC, her team. The right-handed batter has scored 113 runs in her first four innings with a remarkable strike rate of 136.14. During the WPL auction last month, DC acquired her for a price of Rs 2.2 crore.
As DC strives to win their maiden trophy in the Indian T20 extravaganza (they have not won an IPL trophy in the last 15 years), the 22-year-old will aim to maintain her excellent form in the upcoming T20 tournament.
On Thursday, March 16, the Delhi Capitals, led by Meg Lanning, will face off against the Gujarat Giants at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Having won four out of their five matches, DC currently sits at the second position in the WPL 2023 points table. They will aim to secure a spot in the playoffs with another victory in the upcoming game.
