What a massive entry Umesh Yadav has got in his first match of the ongoing series between India vs England. It took the veteran pacer just a few overs to prove that he means business and picked up the biggest wicket in the England batting order, i.e, their captain Joe Root. And with that, he has given hopes to the millions of Indian fans watching from. The hope of victory. Victory in not only this match but the series in its entirety.

Joe Root has undoubtedly been India’s biggest threat in the test series so far. The English captain is in tremendous form and has played exceptional knocks in almost all the innings so far until today. England lost two of their big wickets early on in the match coming on to bat on day one of fourth test, chasing a trail of 191 runs. It was initially seeming to be an easy task for the Englishmen given the form they were in but things started to worsen when two of their openers, Haseeb Hameed and Rory Burns departed too early ( Duck and 5 runs respectively).
However, England still had things under control as their captain, in-form Joe Root was coming on to bat. Joe Root has been playing the Indian pacers with ease so far in the series but Umesh Yadav, who is playing his first match of the tour for India, probably came out of syllabus.

Root was batting on 21 when Umesh Yadav did the unthinkable. He totally beat Joe Root into thinking that he would bowl an outswinger but instead curled it in towards the off-stump and hit home. Joe Root completely misjudged the delivery and got clean bowled. Joe Root and the Indian players themselves were surprised at this as no one had expected the captain to depart this early in the game. Big advantage to team India.
