New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson is one of the best batsmen in World Cricket. Williamson’s consistency makes him different from the others. Besides being a good batsman, Kane Williamson is also a great leader. Earlier this year, Kane Williamson led NZ defeated India in the finals of the WTC which took place in England.

Kane Williamson is currently the captain of IPL franchise SRH. Williamson was handed over the responsibility after David Warner decided to step down as the captain in the 1st half of the season owing to poor form with the bat. However, SRH failed to live up to the level people expected from them even after Kane led the side.
Before taking on Rajasthan Royals last night, SRH had picked up a single victory in 9 games. They only managed to defeat PBKS in the 1st half of the season.
SRH locked horns with RR last night at the Dubai International Stadium for the 40th match of the 2021 edition of IPL. RR imposed a target of 165 after skipper Sanju Samson scored 82 runs off 57 deliveries which included 7 fours and 3 sixes. Jason Roy replaced former skipper David Warner and was playing his first match in orange shirts. Roy utilized the opportunity and scored 60 off 42 deliveries. SRH looked in full control of the match as Kane Williamson also reached his fifty and clinched a 7 wicket win over the Royals.
Kane Williamson along with Abhishek Sharma put up 48 runs for the 4th wicket while chasing down 165. Williamson smashed an unbeaten 51 runs off 41 deliveries which included 5 fours and a six at a strike rate of 124.

Williamson smashed the only six in the 10th over of the game when skipper Sanju Samson handed over the ball to Mahipal Lomror. Lomror bowled a short delivery, Williamson went to the backfoot made room for himself and lofted the ball over the extra cover for a six. Williamson timed the ball perfectly and made the shot look classy.
