WATCH: Kane Williamson’s direct hit sealed the match for SRH

During the 52nd match of IPL between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kane Williamson’s excellent fielding helped his side win the match by 4 runs.

After being put to bat first, SRH imposed a target of 141/4 at the completion of 20 overs. Jason Roy played a 44-run innings but it wasn’t a convincing one. Kane Williamson and Jason Roy contributed 70 runs for the 2nd wicket. Jason played a quickfire 16 runs off 13 deliveries.

While chasing down the target of 141, RCB were hit by an early blow as Bhuvneshwar Kumar who removed Virat Kohli. Dan Christian’s promotion to the top order backfired as he chipped a catch to Kane Williamson at mid-off. Srikar Bharat hit two boundaries before Umran Malik removed him in the 7th over of the game. Glenn Maxwell’s 54 run partnership with Devdutt Padikkal ended in the 15th over. Devdutt Padikkal tried to take a quick single but a direct hit from Kane Williamson sent Maxwell back to the pavilion. Kane Williamson was standing at cover who caught the right hander short of his crease while taking a quick single. Kane Williamson managed to score 40 off 25 deliveries which comprised of 3 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 160.

Devdutt Padikkal who was struggling to move the scoreboard for RCB managed to score 41 runs off 52 deliveries which comprised 4 fours with a strike rate of 78.85.

With 13 needed off the final over, ABD slammed a six straight down the ground off Kumar. But Bhuvneshwar Kumar conceded just one run off the final ball to give Hyderabad a slim win.
