Mohammad Shami has completed his first International test fifty in the most bossy fashion by hitting a massive six at the Lord’s stadium. The Indian pacer has stepped up when his team was in dire need of runs and has done the unthinkable. India, who were at one point struggling to get runs, are now the favourites to win the match if it gets to a conclusion. England will get less than 60 overs even if India declare now and it is downright impossible for them to chase such a humongous target in such a short span.
However, things were not the same at the start of the day. Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant departed early today, leaving the innings in the hands of the tailenders, namely Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah. The Indian fans had lost all hopes but little did they know that the duo were on the verge of creating history.

They started playing on the front-foot fearlessly right from the beginning and tried to build pressure on the English pacers. Luckily, they were successful in their endeavours. The aggressive approach of Bumrah and Shami unnerved England’s bowling unit and they started leaking runs cheaply.
Mohammad Shami, who was continuously adding runs through ones, twos and boundaries, reached the 40+ mark in no time. He then completed his half century with a massive six, stunning all the spectators and the Indian contingent too. Captain Virat Kohli and all the other team-members started celebrating Shami’s fifty and they applauded him whole-heartedly from the pavilion. On his return at Lunch, the team gave him a grand welcome which was loved by fans all over the world.
